Batteries

  • 04 september 2013

In space, batteries must work in both very hot and very cold conditions. They must withstand a lot of radiation from the Sun. They must work in a vacuum without leaking or blowing up! They must be rugged enough to withstand the severe vibrations of a rocket launch. These batteries developed for space can also be used for non space applications.

This woensdagmorgen.nl a battery expert from ESA, a company (ESA BIC Noordwijk incubatee M2 Power) who developed a battery using space technology and a user Solartechno Europe BV.
